More on the "Cap & Trade" Scheme

A great article in the New York Post regarding the Senate's "cap & trade" plan for global warming.  The article looks at the results with Europe's cap & trade system, and points out the likely effects the Senate bill would have on the US economy.

The best line in the article: "Just as tobacco taxes haven't eliminated smoking, a cap-and-trade tax won't eliminate global warming."  Indeed, especially since cigarette taxes are not intended to lower the number of smokers, just use the money picketed from smokers' pockets to fund some pet project.  And as this article mentions, one ambitious Senator already has her wish list made out for what we'll be funding.

Think this bill is still about saving the planet??
